Forgive me for assessing a book by its cover, but this book is ridiculous! Any decent American spirit would know that this is an insult to Abe Lincoln and everything he stood for itself. I would like this book a score of zero if I could. The author should be ashamed! Well, Tim Burton in a movie? I hear President Lincoln is spinning in his grave now. What a bush! Rating: 5.1

I have not read Pride and Prejudice and zombies, because it kind of gimmicky (not necessarily a terrible thing seemed, but not an incredible book, whatever), but mainly because I hate Jane Austen. Yes, I admit, I hate Jane Austen. You can go ahead and take my credentials girl now (I was not really use anyway). I love my husband, Jane Austen, “They are the books, where a few very rich people who marry others like to get in and hard to finally get one third of Europe.” Heh.Quoi Either way, I love vampires and I like Abraham Lincoln, so I thought I would try this. I wish I would have loved it, but I really do not. Not even a little peu.Tout First, I think the elements of a mashup should provide a new way of looking at each other. For example, is at The Dark Side Of The Moon on the top of The Wizard of Oz very very cool, but it also makes you the elements of each in a new way – the part of the freshness, I think. I’m sorry to say that, a vampire hunter brought some benefit from my point of view of Abraham Lincoln, nor vice versa. The two things complement each other, yet completely destroy each other. In addition, the concept of vampires comes after slavery and the Civil War and j I have all of the day. What makes the terrible slavery is that they do something to people other – we do not need a monster lui.Je want to say that at least one author managed creative game in the style of Doris Kearns Goodwin’s biography of the policy, but I can not. All in all it was not fun and not particularly informative and easily extracted. Rating: 5.1

I had great hopes for this book, which proved to be just terrible. If you want to see how combine the high-charged, dynamic elements Abe Lincoln’s life and vampires and produce boring to read this book. No attachment to the characters or their aspera. No excitement. No joke. Nothing. Rating: 5.1

Predictable and well written. That seems pretty obvious from the start, but the book was easy to read, I finished the whole world knows façon.Tout Lincoln had many disappointments in his life (the death of his mother, his sister, the first Love and two children in the Senate lost), the Grahame-Smith attribute is basically all for vampires in general, quite obviously, does not thin air. “The doctor said the mother of Mr. Abe died of disease on milk, but Abe knew the truth … it was a vampire.” For this reason, the book is not really like Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code or Angels and Demons, this Books have not been more prévisibleLe is so exciting and novel historically accurate (with the exception of the Vampire), but it did not do much to love. I do not think it would be so difficult to write a similar book, take only the biography of a somewhat interesting to blame all their problems and bad luck in the lives of vampires, and you’re done! He has not even that well written. Despite the historical accuracy of the most important events in Lincoln stands out as a fairly thin, someone who hates all vampires, because they would have made many douleur.Mon advice, stick to the truth about it, Doris Kearns Goodwin Team of rivals, is infinite much better, although difficult to read. Seth Grahame-Smith is good for having turned Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice” in zombiefest known, so that his macabre imagination next train? Answer: Abraham Lincoln, sixteenth president iconic U.S.. Unfortunately, “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” Grahame-Smith is not at its best – it is a slow process, wangsty slog that never quite believe her, either a novel or a fictional biography. Although Grahame-Smith suggests some unique ideas, it’s not really funny or spirituel.Selon Grahame-Smith, he led a normal life to be running a business when he was approached by a client – that s is found, a vampire be, and wanted him to adjust and to reveal the secret journals of Abraham Lincoln. Born on a farm in the small timber of Indiana, Lincoln first learned of vampires after the death of his mother and began an ongoing crusade to destroy as many murderers of his mother possible.Avec with a couple friends – and a sympathetic vampire named Henry – Lincoln Quest gone, only to lose him for more love and friends, as he destroyed the silence of the undead. Even after marriage, and elected as president, the focus must be on Vampire Lincoln was – especially since the United States and countless slaves are threatened not only slavery, but with a fate worse than the non-mort.L idea of the great Abraham Lincoln battle against the undead is a pretty weird idea, and the idea of a biopic filled presidential elections vampire murder is even cooler. Unfortunately, this book taps only a little of this potential – and the worst thing you know, the author can write mieux.Grahame Smith also very uneven, oscillating randomly between the sound away from a Memory / biography, and the GORE-spattered floral ambiance a vampire novel. Even the author seems this type of book, he wrote forgets, because there are huge blocks (including the last scene), that could not secretly Lincoln magazines. And the first half of the book is painfully slow and repetitive, but it is interesting in the second moitié.Il are clever moments (Lincoln and maintenance of Poe and Poe’s mysterious death soon after), and some hard thinking about good and evil ( “This belief – Thaat we live beyond the reach of the dark – is that vampires have worked tirelessly over the centuries instill). But this does not mean to save this version livre.Et vampire Lincoln assassination is not easy either – he complains, wails and mope all times, and each responds to personal tragedy and a setback with the melodramatic suicide. It seems not the backbone of a president, much less a vampire hunter. He Emo-ham Lincoln! The only interesting character is Henry, a “good “Vampire, the information from Lincoln and encounters are few silent in his crusade. Too bad we do not expect to hear from some clever scheming lui.Je and historical” Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter “, but Seth Grahame-Green takes us through an incredibly Historical novel unequal bit melodramatic.
