Another Art Deco era of galloping blood clots in Sax Rohmer thriller. Rohmer is usually a pleasure to read, there are some clunkers (see my review for Green Eyes of Bast “), but Fu Manchu and other” yellow peril “novels are period furniture of adventure for those who can not politically correct stand in the way of a good story. Often men are British moral pedant (no other word captures this quality-sorry). Fight disadvantages like any Egyptian English Big Fat dark demonic forces resulting from an antique in this work. Rohmer is a master of the unleashed corrupt creation of atmosphere and environment in his books. Rohmer’s contemporary, the same calculation is Algernon Blackwood. I can assure you that Rohmer as good as most of the offers “Mystery Series” on PBS. If these remedies for you at a certain level, then “Brood of the Witch Queen” is your cup of tea. Rating: 5.3

Well, I have many “crazy” stories of my time, Chambers, HPL read Merrit, HH Ewers itself, but this story presents a very thin, one of the best stories and weird weirdest j’ve ever read. It combines local horrible, horror, and then leads us into a room secret grave in an old English castle, an Egyptian pyramid, from London to Cairo and back, and this effort is all imagination, strong and darkly delightful in its sheer strangeness. Although Ward was able to write to the quality at every step, like the “Blue Monkey”, where a good seting burned almost the same second, it is established and the only alternative to the “secret” that we receive, not only anticlimatic, but boring, and it is a shame, the sting of the grave, the statue strange monkey bartender, this could all just a great story, but Ward has chosen an ugly, with litle fantasy, a thriller with a false, false element uterly suposd and unnatural. It is based on the terrible disappointments, such as reading yt of eggs of the Silver Moon “and prayer that through all four lovey-dovey scene of the French Bohemian siecile end, all the lights late Robert W. Chambers’ King in” yellow, pray without incessantly for something strange happens, this is exactly what the reader thinking readign “Brood of the Witch Queen”, after digesting the “Blue Monkey”, the concept of a comparison between “The Brood” and “The King in Yellow “should his grades improve, but for all their splendor, their dark only to rise again mentioned in a line with two other works by Marsh,” The Ladybird “and Bliss” The Gate of the unreal “, as Lovecraft Dracula created in” Horror in Suprnatural Litrature “(thats not quite right, but was released to” get “just in the same year as the Stoker’s Tale, and even then outselled, with 15 editions in 16 years) e means by very mentioned history books have prophtic status and enjoy popularity with some SELCT it is virtually unknown by Ward’s overshadowed “yellow peril” novels, who can but hope not to fit this story. This book does not work, you said, not even on the Internet is like trying to an electronic text of these wonderful stories, such as “The mine sounded the Desert” by David J. infantryman find (supposedly dealing with a degenerate peoples descended from the Roman slave in a mine in the Sahara live) and “Supernatural” stories by James Platt, its not just because but it should (and sometimes stories of being public domain for decades are-ED), as it should be more accessible through editions radily Hanns Heinz novels Ewers.Mon only criticism of this novel is easy, but towards the end, elementary, describes terrible, or proposed, that threat is completely melted in a very anti-climatic way by throwing the balls to the wax on the curtains chambres.Alors than others beaten, all peaks atains novel strangeness rarely met or surpassed in the modern literature. Let me say that I have this well written book three stars because it is and the story was starting something caught my interest. I thought it was not scary or Scarry, just boring. I felt no investment in the characters and the book lacks any twists or turns. I am a fast reader, but it attracts. . . . . The Kindle has opened a lot of classics, and I was happy with my choice. In many ways, this book is a return to a different time. The maidens in distress, alcohol and tobacco, robust and thick accounts for the force, and all contracts are crunchy here. If a movie feels at the time so it stars Vincent Price, in the late evening or on Saturday afternoon. Under the crust of convention terminate when a heart beats originality. To extend far, the book feels like “The Mummy” movies and other sections such as Indiana Jones. A lot of it looks like a Sherlock Holmes story. Sometimes it’s a reminder about the films and Dracula. It seems, however, Harry Potter, to be the fairest comparison. The hero, while doctors and journalists have seemed, in fact practitioners of white magic, to defend themselves against the evil. In addition, there is an underlying knowledge, hermetic philosophy outlined here sometimes – unfortunately, from the mouth of the villain in its full form. Well, that’s really interesting. This book seems more criteria in the early 20 consider century had a significant impact – including the importance of the “will”, vibration, and other concepts. Perhaps this book could be something really cool. The beginning of the 20th Century British writing can be quite steep. However, it is interesting historically, and is a page-turner. Rating: 5.3

Good pulp adventure novel that extends from the home of London’s elite for the ancient pyramids in Egypt. Contains many lively and exciting scenes. What begins as a thriller, turns into the hunt for an evil villain with magical powers. Fans of Indiana Jones films and the recent remake of “The Mummy, probably like in this book. The only thing that spoiled the fun for me was the abrupt end. But it’s always interesting to read. Rating: 5.4
