Let condition I am very knowledgeable tech and new devices usually on the edges of their shell to grow conception.J I bought this router to solve what I thought was a very simple condition: you save my MacBook Pro wireless Time Machine program. After reading several posts on the Apple Time Capsule, I decided with my satisfaction with the stay long Linksys.J “have brought from home and the router was set up and works within minutes, all Windows desktop computer has worked very well over Ethernet connection and hard connected “in computers and wireless laptops at the moment. souci.Le Absolutely no problem came when I attached my WD My Book 2 TB external hard drive for Mac e3000. It is a requirement that must be Time Machine a Mac OS (Journaled) partition formatted. So I plugged the MyBook for Mac in the router, set up the Advanced Settings url and tried, storage, and routers to add. I spent the greater part of the next 24 hours attempted, the E3000 on the MyBook recognized for Mac.Longue story short, get to, after talking with Linksys chat support (Tushar) and listed on both Cisco and the Western Digital Forum, Board Administrator LinkSys responded and confirmed that the router works only with FAT32 and NTFS disk partitions. (Support to open a chat for me to RMA the “unity …. Geez?) Return Ultimately, it is a great router all work functions as expected, and I now share with better- my old N. Linksys buy if all your hardware is based on Microsoft. Avoid like the plague, if you own Macs. Here is hoping that Linksys can determine how Mac OS for those of us, the simplicity that Apple brings to the table support love. Rating: 4 / 5

I bought this router to replace my old Linksys router G. I recently bought a Roku HD-XR for my TV. I decided to go with this router because I’m just Flash movies in HD through Netflix. The router is fast and has a very good range. I have 2 other computers – a dektop in the kitchen and a laptop in the living room – even the most important in my bedroom where the router is wired directly. The other two PCs are 5 bars. HD streaming to my Roku player is perfect, the colors are amazingly clear with an excellent signal too. Do not expect the quality of Blu-ray, because it can lead to 720p. At first, when I have the router I installed the CD. The Linksys support line was great. They advised me to configure it manually disable the QoS for optimal performance for video streaming. They gave me instructions step by step how to do it, because I do not even know at first how to access the main page of my router configuration. Now I watch HD movies online, to be used simultaneously for 3 other computers. Thank you to the simultaneous dual-band. If you like movies online at any time in the comfort of home, it’s really the router that you need. I recommend it. Rating: 5 / 5

First, the positives: It is a great router, bands will also be an improvement on older routers Nice. Seems to boot but reliable. The rest of the good things seem to be covered in other reviews and I thought I talk about my problems clés.Ce the router was to develop harder than I ever handled. Why? For some reason Cisco does not connect properly on my computer works, it always keep to the part where they tried to repair my Internet connection and the Internet remain despite all together. Why can not I skip this section and continue with the configuration? Finally, I only have the old manual way of leaving the logiciel.Il is also a difference between the Connect and Cisco Router Web Interface (or Advanced Configuration). There are a few features (network host, parental control) connect only by Cisco. This was a problem for me because I can not use the Cisco Connect can not and therefore host to the creation of a network. Everything looks a little stupid, for lack of a better word, that not all features are on the Advanced mode “available. I hope Linksys / Cisco resolve this problem in an update of firmware.Il is also important that if you have configured the router manually, or if you change the SSID and admin password on your own, the manual method, you need a position using Cisco Connect in fact, you set the router to be able to use it again. Even a stupid decision in my opinion vue.Encore once at the end is a good router, but it seems, in an attempt to keep things simple by trying to force people that do not use the Cisco Connect (the instructions are not completely obsolete clear that you do to old-fashioned way). Ok, I’m so tired of these new products that being a “simple” set-up have. It must be more than one language for the installation of software. Do I not, but it is really impossible to have someone to help as something on the phone, and expect them to read the instructions and follow them without really knowing, or to correct the jargon. Please a powerful company like Linksys needs to be able, more than one language for configuration. If we manage to work, I’ll let you know, but now it is a total bust. Rating: 4 / 5

This router is great. I had an old Linksys WRT300N that finally died on me, and at first I went ahead and replaced it with the Netgear WDNR3700, but unfortunately this router, so it was quite fast, has refused to music, my Xbox from my computer are sent and more than 10 minutes, which was very unpleasant, so I had to resume. I swapped the Linksys WRT310N, since the specifications looked as if they were the same as my old router. While listening to my music properly, I do not have the speed and the general awesomeness of the Netgear router, I tried, I have decided that the WRT310N WRT610N exchange, but once I went to do the new E-series was published, I then and this (3000) instead. The Linksys 3000 is wonderful. The installation was the easiest router setup that I have ever had the pleasure to live you just put the CD into your computer and follow the steps to configure not even need to hard wire the computer to the router and it does almost everything for it is, it probably has introduced me to 10 minutes max, including the time to get out of the box and plug. It was nice compared to the Netgear router, for which the software installation is not yet compatible with Windows 7, and since I could not online to new software from the download page without the router, j had to manually configure the router Web Page, which is to do everything as you on the Netgear, Linksys, if that message is much more user friendly. Even the WRT310N, everything is not difficult to implement, was annoying, as the installer will try to take control of your computer, but Linksys has greatly improved their software with this new version, and I am so far very happy with it. This router is super fast and can do many things happen at once, I need it, because I always see your HD Netflix commands do when playing videos on YouTube. So yes, it’s great, does not seem too hot, I have not tried the USB thing, I do not know how well this works. I like that it has a power switch on the back, so I need not to separate, if I have reset my modem. My only complaint so far is that I wish they had a drawing where you could stand upright, because this thing certainly waste a lot of space, it’s just big and flat, but can not really object to it because it is a router is, but it is not bad, I think.
