There are almost forty years since the untimely death of Jimi Hendrix. Under the program, a reissue, Experience Hendrix, was in deluxe editions of their classic studio albums reissued. For this longtime fan, Electric Ladyland in 1968 was the last album Hendrix. This is the album in which he more fully untilized Studio to create the album, most durable.Il there is not much to add what has been written on this album, so I will limit my comments to that with this new 2010 edition : CD: The sticker on the shrink wrap says “Digitally Remastered”, but I’m not sure if there is a difference between this situation and I produced in 1997 a new question. I’m not saying the sound is not great, I just want to say that I did not notice the difference. [Note: I guess they just play fast and loose with the wording. Finally, it is Digitally remastered, it's just not new remastered. Both versions have been remastered by Eddie Kramer and George Marino.] The new edition contains 16 songs – no bonus material. Running time – 75:27 The brochure: Thirty – six pages. Lot of great photos, even a different picture (Jimi hated!) From the cover photo session UK. An essay by Derek Taylor. Six pages of handwritten notes on the original album Jimi’s. Is included [A Since the new edition of 1997 in this booklet with photos and a few other minor changes in the original layout.] The DVD: There are no complete songs. A very limited number of concerts and filmed only during the actual meetings. Especially on camera interview with the original engineer Eddie Kramer, played excerpts of songs from the album. Also includes on-camera interviews with Chas Chandler, Mitch Mitchell and Noel Redding. At no time during the video Jimi talks about the album. Overall, an interesting video, but not considered mere repetition. The inclusion of this short DVD is the big difference between this and re-1997th [The return in 2010 also has a triple gatefold sleeve.] Running Time – 12:15 If premiums do not take enough to sway you to this new edition to the price, it is not difficult. However, if you already own the 1997 edition, ten dollars is a bit expensive for a DVD of 12 minutes. Rating: 5 / 5
The album is a masterpiece when it was published, and the Rest There are some passages in the 60s-era experimental drug impregnated with a upsmanship, loan quality sometimes dated. For most, however carefully designed, the inventiveness of this album timeless. Especially at ~ $ 9, is a must have for those lacking this album in their collection. (Stevie Ray Vaughan fans will appreciate the sensitivities and a common vision of the two guitar virtuosos, each has left us much too soon.) The CD is clearly a Remaster of the original recording, and can partially, and a remix. The equalization, dynamics, and stereo separation is usually more attractive (for contemporary music that is, the digital age), the ear, the latter seems even more exaggerated than the original () as I recall. Many gaps and the peculiarities of multi-track analogue of this time are obvious. What then would emphasize as low production values, the creativity needed decades ago, many such compositions are considered to produce multi-layers with limited technical resources. Even if the Remaster is very different, I want the integrity of the recordings has been largely maintained – eg, snoring amplifier behind the song. The breathing noise due to compression is sometimes annoying, but it is primarily a balance between preservation and valorisation.J ‘already Remaster of the late 1990s – have not had the chance to A / B comparison, but I’m not convinced that this version if (other guarantees at all) to obtain another copy if you already have the previous Remaster. I bought it because the mini-DVD documentary that accompanies it. Clocking in at almost 12 minutes, should clear focus on the “mini” part. The interview with Eddie Kramer is very interesting, but the DVD was very disappointing, both because of its brevity and lack of development. If you are looking for pictures of Hendrix himself found together for a few seconds scissors. Even without this, there is little narrative flow or depth of the story. For half a ** effort ed.Je recommend this for those who have the album and recommend it to those that the original CD (or LP). If you formerly used for a significant added value throughout the Remaster, especially from the DVD, it makes little sense if you are obsessed with a little Hendrix. Rating: 4 / 5
