I was reading this book given because someone had proposed. I finished in two sessions. It is a wonderful book. The interweaving of history, literature and sport is a pleasure to read. I recommend it to everyone, especially if you love baseball. But if you do not like baseball, then you will appreciate. An excellent book. One of the best books I have ever read. . . . They enjoy in this book. From the introduction, when Bob Mitchell maps basball and the players of the 50s and 60s by the time at the Polo Grounds journey describes, break lights, blame Buckner and the Red Sox finally the curse, you’ll find many absorbed in the history of this pastime in America means that many of us, especially those of us, grew up in the 50s and 60s, and also for our parents and grandparents parents.c “a lot of heart and a book that takes the reader on a slightly Travelogue commemorative baseball and the relationships we parents.Note with parents and grandparents shared use: 5.5

It is an interesting book, albeit with a variety of directions. Although fun, it also complex, difficult and interrogateur.L author weaves a story, very careful with genuine compassion, but the landscape pages with many historical references, poetic and mythical, often overwhelm readers. Ultimately, it is a book of baseball that has not really baseball. Instead, the author uses some important moments enrich fascinating baseball history, both its history as well as comments about the meaning of history. In fact, the gifted author seems obsessed with both words and figures to be. In fact, he notes that it is 616 500 words in English and it seems that almost every one of them in these efforts appear. For the faint of heart, who does not feel comfortable with 157 sets a transitional word or distracted narrative drive of the third person to first person, perhaps this book is not for you. For others who thirst for something different, something unusual, and something written from the heart, please note that this recommendation. Rating: 5.4

As a former head of the marketing department of a large American company, I understand the fundamentals of the market segments of customers and consumer demographics. But books Bob Mitchell is not these things. This book should not be read by people, because they are a demographic “fit. Anyone can read this book and something lui.Mitchell is a true artist. He produced another book that completely different from what I’ve read, including his astonishing debut novel, “Match Made in Heaven is.” Creativity Mitchell is quite unique and his writing is difficult and challenging but at the same time comfortable and pleasant at the same time while. He admits a sports mother thought. I, I was a sports nut, until I read this book. It made me think of is different from my own experience in the sport and my joy. Mitchell sees and talks about sports as a metaphor for life and this book combines the story of the characters and their past and present lives with The highlights of baseball games historique.Je will not give away to read something else. Go. It’s a great book by a gifted writer. I loved him. Rating: 5.5

The elements of the Da Vinci Code, time travel, left politics and baseball do not mix well. Rating: 5.1
