I bought this 12GB drive for 6-MKV files to play on my HDTV and the ability to transfer files from my Mac (OSX Transfer 10 .. 6 2) with my PC (Windows 7). It comes with a FAT32 format, which allows you shares from Mac to PC, but only allows a value of 4G to use of space.
