I start a model of development in the last minute deals in Historical Fiction like what I am to see to use in fiction – the novels you have granular solids with real historical detail, and then there are a variety of wallpapers and I think this book falls into the latter category. Secrets is the story of Mary Howard, daughter of the powerful Duke of Norfolk, Thomas Howard and his wife, the illegitimate son of Henry VIII, Henry Fitzroy. As a young girl Mary is off to serve the future of Queen Anne Boleyn packed, and we see the history of the court of Henry and his wife through the eyes of Mary. * Yawn * I think now all the Tudor Audiophiles know the basics of Henry and his six wives, and I will not delay things for another summary. An interesting concept with a historical figure known only the same old story, but sorry to say, I think it’s a little bit disappointing. can be Norfolk is as bad as bad to his wife and daughter of intrigue for all married women with Henry Howard plays his method is somewhat questionable Kitty Howard, produce an heir for Henry. As for Maria, she is so very gentle and Mary-Sueish (pun not intended), you’ll like fingernails on the blackboard system every time she opens her mouth – what counts is the feeling of first person narrative, each would ultimately offers page.En this book is absolutely nothing new to Tudor history and I would not for fans of Tudor, who recommended all the books ever written has read about the Tudors. Without Author’s note to his facts I have no idea if Thomas Howard and his wife and daughter lost, but if you are a victim of domestic violence, you can spend it as the scenes are very disturbing and detailed than what really is required. Get the library if you should buy it, and if you like it. Finally, a note to the editor. If you ever do a second edition, please fix this problem? “He holds the reins with a slender finger of the hand …” I could be wrong but I think that kings reign, and led a horse with a snaffle. This is certainly not a gussied up to Tudor history. Poverty and violence class, as it is in force. Women and children are to be mere slaves “sold” or be manipulated to abought a man wealth and power bring. His royal rank increases to pay the price, rather than for the safety of such treatment. Use of a primary character historically unknown, should be given within a period and the personalities that we continue to fascinate today. It read, if it is the kind of thing you is like that. But doubt if I read it. Rating: 5.3

I had this on my turn, because I love the time. It was sad reading about her when she had a hard life, but there were good times. Very good full-Twiss and turns, lots of details. I would definitely recommend. Rating: 5.4

I am also addicted Tudor, and I found this fascinating story. Instead of in the middle of the action with the most important royal personages, we see the Tudor Court through the eyes of Mary Howard, the youngest daughter of the Duke of Norfolk, one of the ministers of King Henry VIII. This gives us a unique perspective, because “little Marie is the proverbial fly on the wall. She sees and hears all the intrigues pending before the Court, for the most part, while the remaining distances. Although most static in nature, it is a sympathetic heroine, but sad on a particular note. I do not know how accurate the author’s research, but there is a picture of brutality and abuse, casual virtual child that Mary is in the hands of his father and other relatives who are really terrible sorry. The brutality of the time is overwhelming. But we come to a portrait of Tudor life that I had never seen before in other work for this age to see, and for this reason that the book was worth lue.Recommandé. Rating: 5.4
