I wrote a review of a book by Wilkie Collins already, and although I do not like this book, as I was the last thing I read was, it still pleasant. In this story, an elderly man, Griffith, who lives in the countryside with her two older brothers. They live a quiet life in an old house. Her life changes when a young woman whom he had co-guardian, came to his house for 6 weeks remain to inherit money after the death of his father on his 21st Birthday. With just a little time to go is the young womans visit Griffith Recice a letter from his son home. In the letter to his son tells him he is in love with the young woamn, Jessie. Thus Jessie is back in time for his son, and to explain his feelings, Griffith and his 2 brothers keep writing stories that entertain. The content of much of the book are stories from his brother. The book also mentions Scheherazade, stories like Aladdin and the lamp said to her husband to preserve life. It is a pleasant read, and pass easily. Rating: 4 / 5
