This was another book I read women’s writing. When I taught the class, I could not understand. If you read my comment on Chopin’s “The Awakening”, as you may remember that I did not feel it was a very good piece of writing. But at least Chopin was a good idea. AND AT LEAST Chopin has introduced a fine effort! The protagonist is not really mark a victory for the development of the female protagonists. And it is not memorable. In my opinion it is as someone who is not mentally healthy people. I had the misfortune of having to read this book as part of my A-level studies while in school and how many children will be in England in the early 1990s, agreed that “worst” book to force young minds to read.
