This was another book I read women’s writing. When I taught the class, I could not understand. If you read my comment on Chopin’s “The Awakening”, as you may remember that I did not feel it was a very good piece of writing. But at least Chopin was a good idea. AND AT LEAST Chopin has introduced a fine effort! The protagonist is not really mark a victory for the development of the female protagonists. And it is not memorable. In my opinion it is as someone who is not mentally healthy people. If you read a book to be with the pain, many women subjected to read Edith Wharton’s The House of Mirth. “If you’re a female character who want to see represented a significant change in dealing with female protagonists who read Charlotte Bronte’s” Jane Eyre “. If you are so determined to play well this flop of Gilman, at least he is only 30 pages. Rating: 1 / 5

I thought the bookk was very good, as men and women should be treated at the time, but in today’s society are treated equally Rating: 5 / 5

I had the misfortune of having to read this book as part of my A-level studies while in school and how many children will be in England in the early 1990s, agreed that “worst” book to force young minds to read. The main character is so boring, boring, that I possessed a trace amount of empathy for them, it all end, but my desire was more to the fact that this would mean the end of the story is based very sad. It yellow paper for the sake of goodness. Do not read into this that this is something deep and meaningful because it is not. If you’re like me, you will not care about the character, wish you only that you read about them. This is the 19th Century version of MTV, keep a sense of emptiness, because you only lose a few hours in your life, what is not worth it. Do yourself a favor, when you get something in this book, dass Write a load of Mindless drivel, it leaves some vulnerable critics, something from nothing and you’ll be a winner. In 100 years time, the children will be forced to read in school and they will probably hate you, but you will not because you like a long time. As should be the case with the book! Rating: 1 / 5

The book is a classic. However, you need a certain preference for certain kinds of knowledge. As women’s and gender studies. And although you should definitely enjoy reading professional opinions. Rating: 3 / 5

I found this story too alarming and at the same time wonderful in its powers of interference. The tension, what would happen to the narrator as omnipresent and looming as the wallpaper that surrounds the narrator. The story contains evidence of romanticism (a speaker who suffered an apparent and the supernatural), but still offers more substance rooted in realistic detail too fine objects (the symbol is no longer clear that the document imprisonment wall itself), and graphical representations that give a sharp edge to the plight of the narrator as she succumbs to madness. Genius indices have throughout history, which was sometimes the reader for a moment doubt their own intellectual ability to the course of events (such as name set to follow John’s Sister, Jennie’s Mary Jane). However, these descriptions of the wallpaper itself that such a vivid and real effects of history there (for example, the broad outlines of the runoff in large waves of optic horror angle is how a lot of algae to revel in full chase “or” The external model is a florid arabesque, remember) to a fungus. Gilman also remarkably self-assured style adopted for the period ruled: that the empowerment of women, both in literature and in société.Rating: 5 / 5
