Thus Spoke Zarathustra (RJ Hollingdale said translation) is only one of the least-fun classics I’ve ever read. It was a chore to get to the 330 + pages, and what I hoped to improve continuously, never did. TSZ tried to take on many aspects of Nietzsche’s philosophy through, for most, puzzles, meanings and analogies. You will not understand even half of what Nietzsche is trying to tell you. When I read a book, I expect to be able to at least understand the plot or message. TSZ usually a waste of time. There are a few of the redeeming points. Nietzsche’s “superman” philosophy is interesting and explains in detail the weaknesses of the people of today and the future will be like Superman. According to Nietzsche, God has everything, but some time, died in the past by compassion for the imperfections of humanity. Superman The race will one day leave, the man and perfect in mind and body. Moreover, Nietzsche has a unique perspective on many aspects of life: work, family, friendship, etc. The proportion of time that Zarathustra speaks coherently, it is interesting. The problem is, Zarathustra spends most of his time preaching in gibberish and bad poetry. 80% of subjects in dozens of TSZ are practically unreadable. I understand that the original work is German, and many puns of Nietzsche does not convert correctly. However, I can not even imagine the German original prose, give a much more bilingual German-speakers. Here is a typical example of the prose is found throughout the novel, in “On the Blissful Islands”, “In truth, I spent my way through a hundred souls, and through a hundred cradles and birth. I have lots of parking, I watched the wrenching final hours to know. But my creative desire, my destiny, he will. Or, to be honest, my will wants such a fate. Every sentiment suffers in me and in prison, but I’m always there for me as my liberator and bringer of joy be prepared. “Want free: that is the true doctrine of will and freedom – so you can sign Zarathustra. It is no longer and will not identify and create nothing more Oh, this great fatigue never stay away from me! “Hmm, he wants to will and to create, but do not want to feel, what’s the point? It makes no sense here. Now imagine that 80% of the work written in prose, like the poor, and you have an idea of the what you get. It would have been much better if Nietzsche just written a plain text summary of a paragraph from Zarathustra at the end of each section. Then you could return to better interpret, Z said something. I read a lot of classics and have a large library of them. I believe that my skills in reading comprehension than the average. However, this book belongs on or very near the bottom of my list. Not recommended! Rating: 2 / 5
I find the character very interesting Nietzsche and admit that its influence is on the philosophy and culture of this century to almost negligible. However, I find his works, including Zoroaster, missing “philosophy” and as evidence of a man who lived a life very sad. There are certainly elements of work that deserves to be preserved, if not simply for its historical significance. Among other things, almost Kant’s Critique of belief in the supernatural in the first part still bears relevance. A major complaint is that the exact character of Superman is loosely defined. He is a man to give his own life has meaning and define his life by his own virtue, and hence growth beyond good and evil. But how to choose his virtue, and act so that if virtues? Zarathustra speaks of conflicts in the war for his virtue, but what exactly are we to understand this? More importantly, however, I found this book lacking in style. It is very difficult to understand because of the annoying metaphors, allegories and symbolism. Each point is developed more. When I finally went through the text, but I found myself disappointed with what is found in the writings of the great philosophers to be “. Rating: 2 / 5
Nietzsche is one of the largest bear no influence on modern philosophy, especially the existentialist movement and Zarathustra shows the reader exactly why it was a Big Bear has no influence. Nietzsche’s works are not really elevated as a writer, however, his philosophy seems to be ignorant and sexist to me sometimes, but I do) but the feeling that every few works of Nietzsche (or any other philosophical works should read elsewhere. I like Nietzsche’s argument against Christianity and the modern mentaility existence of the masses, but I think it should be these two things, my favorite philosophical views of Nietzsche. I give this book, Nietzsche, and usually three stars because, while they will bear no influence and is liable to his philosophy is not the greatest good points and is often misunderstood by men. Nietzsche married to be superior to the desire to create Superman, for the modern man. It degrades the compassion, love and compassion as weak and glorifies the warrior and those who would be cruel to create strength in themselves and others. His character Zarathustra speaks of a dull, medieval mode, which I intended to take over call to mind the passages bibliques.Bien I recognize the importance of this work philosophy and classical literature, I have to show that 3 stars because I felt that it a large part was the philosophy of Nazi Germany – in any case, I could see where this part of the backbone of their society. I have not really read, although I think it is important to many and varied works as much as possible, so that I learn something new to read all the time. Read it as a classical work, and as a philosophical masterpiece, but if you are worried the story of the Nazis, you’ll probably find the ideals that have adopted this text can be uncomfortable.
