Right on the box shows the device, the said street. We came home, downloaded the latest maps from TomTom, etc. and then put them in the test. . . . No street names. . . Just turn left and turn right. I went to the difficult task of trying to e-mail. . . After reading through screens to present a definitive answer was not on the screen, and were then able to send a message to technical support. Received e-mail them back. . informed me that I have to offer more details, etc. had. OK, that’s no problem if they have accepted to answer an e-mail. . No, they forced them to go through all sorts and log into their system and go through the whole procedure again. . I have no time to play with these companies. . the unit back and bought several GPS. I bought this to my Garmin Nuvi 265T, because TomTom IQ Routes drive was replaced in the city. Bad idea. The TomTom can not even be automatically set its clock from the GPS satellites like Garmin. The text to speech does not work (yes, I have chosen a computer voice, not a recorded human voice). Voices United States uses terms like “motorway” instead of “street” or “highway” and it will not pronounce the street names. He says only the right or left, for example. On the positive side, the Lane Assist feature works very well. I had actually seen the original, almost everything I found. The menus on the TomTom is to navigate, very difficult. On my Garmin, I tap on “Where?” and enter an address. On the TomTom I have to navigate through a seemingly endless series of menus. The software updates via the software that are in the home as a joke. I have not even come to the updated card before my unit ran out of memory. I tried to format the Memory Unit in Windows so I can just the latest version of the software over the Internet with the TomTom Home software, but uses a USB port. An interface and has a severe stuttering problem when he wrote to his home in the memory. This means that the formatting took 6-12 hours! Shocking! I immediately get rid of this unit and I bought an MSN Direct Receiver for my Garmin Nuvi 265T. The traffic in real time, not in real time (it updates every 30 seconds). I have heard that TomTom Go GPS devices have zero problems, but most of them come with a firewall windshield mount the old school, that no leverage to increase as suction Garmin, Magellan and others. This means that TomTom Go GPS probably fall off your windshield. . . while driving and you could make a wreck. Frankly, I prefer it that just does a GPS (Garmin) rather than the voice of Homer Simpson, I have directions (TomTom). Rating: 5.1

What a piece of scrap. First, the keyboard does not understand what you press the button. I even resorted to using a pointer, the old Palm Pilot and even selected letters other than the one I pushed. Second, I made a trip to five hours. They are stopped and restarted halfway. On the way back the same thing happened, but she could never again find the satellites (”Waiting for valid GPS signal”). Visit product support has led to waiting 30 minutes. I went through his standard, download the latest version of the software and reboot commands, and then lost the connection due to crappy AT & T cellular service. Save money and buy a compass. . . You have more luck. Rating: 5.1

I had TomTom GO 510 in the first. I used it for a year and a half, and it does not work anymore, it does not load or activate. I called customer service is, they said the warranty over and I had to go Best Buy to fix this problem and pay more than I paid for the device. Then I bought this Tom Tom XL 340S, the Amazon. I uploaded this for three hours in my car, I got half a tank of gas so I can load the GPS. I continued to press the power button again and again to turn it on. When I finally managed to turn it on, it is never extinguished. Do not waste your time to this item, please send it. Stick to another GPS company. Rating: 5.1
