There are some comments here that I can not do the obvious knowledge of the career of Bobby, his musical style, and the description of this album. . . I will not bore you. What do I know? Well, I know that Bobby is brilliant, and this album is far behind. My library has the most albums Bobby McFerrin and I checked quickly. What genius! This album does not seem much in his influence on his earlier albums drawing. It seems to have multiple languages, styles, variations of music on this album. If you are a fan of Bobby or music, you will become a fan. Enjoy. . . Thus, the wood will be in my spring and summer! Bobby Beyound Bravo! Rating: 5.5

Bobby McFerrin is a musical genius, and the album continues to demonstrate this fact. His compositions and improvisations beyond what thought the human voice can do. Compared to previous albums that I heard of him (Circle Songs, “Beyond Words), it has more orchestration and a choir is much greater. I remember, Bach, Mozart, and Manhattan Transfer, joy with African rhythms and harmonies (mixed think Lion King) and scat singing. McFerrin singing solo shows its own function, falsetto flûtée.Ecouter this album, but also by the observation of the clips on YouTube McFerrin vocal improvisations. Better yet, try to see him in concert. We saw his show last night in San Francisco, and he knocked our socks. His improvised music reminds me of Robin Williams plays the genie in Aladdin – the performance is eclectic, eccentric, surprising, joyous, virtuous and beautiful. Congratulations to find McFerrin, his incredible voice to create something entirely new, and we are moving to pure ecstasy with his music. Rating: 5.5

During a career of three decades, Bobby McFerrin worn many hats. From the front of his band on their first album, the pyrotechnics of his extraordinary solo live with Voicestra his choral work, a duet with Chick Corea and Yo Yo Ma (not to mention singing along and driving with symphony orchestras,) McFerrin was a restless musical intelligence and the area is constantly looking for new musical turf to explorer.Sept years in the making, “vocabulary” is certainly the most ambitious project to date McFerrin and may very well be his magnum opus. Because on this album that almost all the major musical interests McFerrin together in perfect balance. Somehow, the whole production before McFerrin led to artistique.J at this time for a lifetime of performance have always thought the only thing missing McFerrin wrote the capacity of taking up his new ideas and develop fully and composition. Fortunately for all of us has found the perfect collaborator McFerrin composer / arranger and conductor, Roger Treece, whose immense gift ideas McFerrin harmonious development and raise them so much deserve. The two men worked together closely to gather initial ideas of the previous albums McFerrin, improvisations, etc., weaving them into compositions more important than the average of about 10 minutes.Chaque piece is a journey itself, in which the African, Eastern European, jazz, Western classical, face R & B and pop elements together, mixing and recombination in a kaleidoscope of changing harmony and rhythm. Singers are from various disciplines, including world, classical and R & B together to form a virtual choir versatile form, to facilitate the exercise of creating stamps without choir. I was told that there are more than 1,400 vocal tracks in all. Words have been in any of the Arab, Zulu, consisting of 15 written languages. Although there moments of playful improvisations signature are the Bobby, for which there is composed of the majority of the album of music for the first paragraph of us this album brings to the complexity of medicine vocal music, one of the most satisfying effort from Bobby, in which he overdubbed his voice to an a cappella choir, which is used a minimum increase of percussion grooves. In a way, “vocabulary” is a kind of “Medicine Music” on steroids. In fact, three of the seven songs on this album back arrangements of songs from that album. But it is as if they went from black and white to color, the animated short film epic. Consider the first piece, “Baby”. feel as an innocent rhyme with African folk music designed in its original form, it is transformed harmonic resolution in a maze, constantly modulating silly and playful, but always returns to its original pattern and the key. The result is a sense of childlike joy large and deep, that is the hallmark of the best works McFerrin. While the album is McFerrin’s voice is heard weaving and swerving, sometimes come to the forefront for a while, but the emphasis on this release is clearly on the compositions, not the virtuosity of the other facts Bobby.Parmi Highlights “Ladeo Say” a cheerful banter with infectious chorus, the closer to a pop song that everything is on the album. It is a beautiful thing, it is a pleasure to listen to the radio, is, even if this day and age, it is unlikely that a cappella, a nice, since it reached the Top 40 (“Do not Worry , Be Happy “once), even in the edited version is on Another surprise is YouTube.Une brief eternity”, the album closer. It is a serious piece of Western classical music, assisted by a full orchestra. Treece Impressionist Debussy’s orchestration Nocturnes reminds Sirens above all “,” sometimes brings the spirit choir sounds contemporary composer John Tavener. A spiritual longing pervades the play lush, quiet to ecstasy in his last satisfaisant.La the deepest part of this listening is to achieve “news”, a tour de force that serves to ease the elements of Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Middle East and classical counterpoint in a rich stew of the West, seasoned odd meters and exotic percussion. In this ambitious composition, we begin to hear, what can one look into the future of the music of the 21st century, a future where the individual traditions of world music to come together as equals, each with its own voice in a unique blend of perfect chorus harmonie.Vu the state of the world where civil discourse is becoming increasingly archaic in a world where nations compete with each other as children ill-tempered when the heart of barbarism has some form of political body in many parts of the world, Bobby McFerrin us a profound vision of a utopian society in which valued all members and are respected, a future determined in the beauty and peace.
