It’s a pretty well-written book, with descriptions of a very good fight, but I could not overcome the feeling that Sledge was able to pass to the front of the fight heavy infantry would be avoided. He always seemed behind the line by introducing grenades, while the other Marines were immobilized on the front line. I am not disrespectful, because I’m sure there are cooks who are killed on the islands. Just an observation Rating: 3 / 5

This book was OK. There were many boring parts. That was certainly not the book 5 stars, praised by all. Band of Brothers was much better by far. I was disappointed in my expectations, difficult-to-book control. Rating: 3 / 5
